Education is a human right that we are all entitled to but how many children around the world have the chance to be educated? In the world there 121 million children and adolescents who are currently out of primary and lower secondary school . 78 million of these children live in third world countries. We are fortunate to have equal opportunities for both genders; however in some countries gender is an important factor to whether children get educated. 53% of children who do not go to primary school are girls and 52% of adolescents who do not go to secondary school are girls. Moreover, in some third world countries one in six children are working because their parents cannot afford to send them to school.
This is an unacceptable situation for the poor segments of society as the rich can afford to send their children to school, while the poor cant. Why should children be deprived of education because they can’t afford it?
