Water is an integral part of Islam and has been embedded in Islamic teachings. It is one of the immense mercies of Allah ta’ala bestowed upon us. We use this blessings of water as a source of growth, sustenance and bodily purification, as we required to perform wudhu and ghusl (ritual ablutions) using water before prayer throughout the day. Allah ta’ala mentions this blessing in Holy Qur’an:
Unfortunately, one of the most dire problems we face today is that approximately 36-40% of the world population is without safe water or sanitation. Many hundreds o millions are in a cycle of poverty and disease. Across the poverty stricken nations, millions of women are wasting precious time collecting dirty water and children are dying from diarrhoeal diseases. The communities have no swage system in place and are living amongst the open running sewers.
We take water for granted we do not truly appreciate it. Imagine a life without clean water- we can’t. However there are many people around the world where it is norm for them to use dirty water. Dabbagh Welfare Trust aims to provide clean water and proper sanitation facilities to many improvised communities around the world. Please donate generously.
